The jewelry powerhouse harks back to its Texas roots with the launch of a new Western brand — Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott.
Chances are, you know about iconic jewelry powerhouse Kendra Scott. You might even know the worldwide company has strong Austin, Texas, roots. But what might surprise you is the news that the company has recently launched a new Western brand, Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott.
The new brand, which effortlessly combines the ruggedly beautiful spirit of the West with Kendra Scott’s trademark class, launched on the rodeo circuit in January with great success.
“Our goal with Yellow Rose was to create a beautiful Southwestern-inspired brand offering jewelry, apparel, and home goods for the modern cowgirl and cowboy. We wanted there to be a sense of comfort and nostalgia while also bringing a fresh boutique take on the Texas ranch culture that is so special to our brand founder, Kendra Scott, and the heritage of her namesake brand,” says Nichole Filson, brand director of Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott.
Filson explains that Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott takes its name from the golden-hued roses of the Lone Star State, as well as the joyful style that Kendra Scott is known for. The brand is all about the adventurous spirit of cowboys and cowgirls in Texas and beyond.
Kendra Scott herself was inspired to incorporate the new brand after spending time on her family’s Texas ranch.
“Ranch culture is all about peaceful connection — with nature and with those around you — and an adventurous spirit,” Filson says. “With Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott, we wanted to create a brand that enabled our customers to experience this lifestyle for themselves while maintaining the quality and accessibility the Kendra Scott brand is known for.”
Although the collection of Yellow Rose creations is rooted in Southwestern ranch culture, Filson says there’s a little bit of everything under the colorful and creative umbrella to pair with a variety of fashions.
“The collection features everything from pops of vibrant turquoise and orange banded agate to vintage-style metals and supersized statement necklaces such as the Havana Necklace and Beau Statement earrings. For the woman looking to layer with her existing collection, we offer delicate and versatile necklaces like the Ember Strand Necklace, Y’all Pendant Necklace, and Beau Link Bracelet,” Filson says.
Since the brand’s rodeo-circuit-rich launch in January, Yellow Rose has been spotted on country music singers like Lainey Wilson and Gabby Barrett.
“The brand is a natural addition to their go-to looks, which often already include ranch staples like cowboy boots and hats,” Filson says.
The brand has also become a fixture in the Kendra Scott flagship store in Austin, Texas, and most recently at a new first-ever Yellow Rose pop-up shop (open through July 3) in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood just down the block from Kendra Scott Spring Street. Both locations feature fun extras that complement the brand.
“We’re so excited to share this new brand with our customers in the Northeast!” Filson says. “Within the pop-up, customers will be transported to the ranch with its Navajo patterned rugs, raw wood, and cowhide accents. Customers will be able to shop the full Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott brand, as well as Ranch Road boots, and experience the Hat Customization Bar, complete with a variety of hatbands, scarves, pins, charms, feathers, branding, and more.”
