Free for you to view on YouTube: Rio Conchos, a gritty 1964 western directed by Gordon Douglas (Fort Dobbs, Yellowstone Kelly), starring Richard Boone of Have Gun, Will Travel fame as Jim Lassiter, a former Confederate Army officer obsessed with revenge after his family is killed by Apaches.

When Lassiter is arrested for possessing one of 2,000 rifles that were stolen from a US Cavalry command, he is pressed into service to help an Army captain (Stuart Whitman) and a Buffalo Soldier sergeant (Jim Brown) track down Lassiter’s former commanding officer (Edmond O’Brien) – who just happens to be selling rifles to the very Indians responsible for the deaths of Lassiter’s loved ones.
