Our cover guy rocked the house with rousing versions of The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me” and Richie Valens’ “La Bamba.”
The multitalented Lou Diamond Phillips — our May/June cover guy — stumped the panel and rocked the house on Fox’s The Masked Singer this week. If you missed the episode, it’s now available on Hulu. And we have some clips to whet your appetite.
Phillips donned the guise of a humongous mantis — perhaps inspired by the classic 1957 B-movie The Deadly Mantis? — to perform for host Nick Cannon and panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke.
But even with a few wink-wink, nudge clues, the panel could not guess who was behind the mask.
Then came the moment for the big reveal — and a knockout encore.
Afterwards, Lou wrapped things up with a few words about how much he enjoyed bugging out on stage.
