Homemade Sweet Potato Chips with Caviar and Creme Fraiche
The mild sweetness of these potato chips balances perfectly with rich creme fraiche and salt-and-sea-kissed caviar.
2 long (2-inch-diameter)
Vegetable oil for frying
Flaky sea salt
Fill a large bowl with water. Peel and thinly slice the sweet potatoes into rounds.
Place the sweet potatoes in the water and let stand 1 hour.
When ready to fry, drain the sweet potatoes and pat them dry between clean dish towels. Heat the oil to 365F in a deep fryer or large, heavy saucepan. Line 2 large sheet pans with paper towels. Working in batches, fry the sweet potatoes until golden brown and crisp, about 3 minute. Transfer to the paper towels and drain. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

Turmeric Gin and Ginger Mule
There's something instantly warming about a spicy turmeric cocktail — even one served with a squeeze of lemon on a craggy mountain of chipped ice.
⅓ cup lemon gin (such as Sipsmith)
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
About 8 ounces ginger bear, chilled
2 lemon wedges for garnish
Fill 2 glasses and a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the gin, turmeric, and lemon juice to the shaker and shake vigorously. Pour over the ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
