Western influencer and wife to a five-time PRCA world champion steer wrestler, Lindsay Branquinho tells us about surprising her husband, her favorite family recipes, and making Texas her home.
It wouldn’t be the holidays without … family. We’ve got a big, close family, and nothing would be the same without them.
Favorite Christmas present I’ve ever gotten … Luke’s mom gave me the most beautiful old concho belt. It had originally been purchased by her grandmother in Santa Fe, then handed down to her. It must be 100 years old! So special.
Best gift I’ve ever given … One year I framed all 15 of Luke’s NFR back numbers and surprised him with those!
Most wonderful Christmas memory … The first Christmas Luke and I spent together. It was a month after we had gotten married, just a couple weeks after he won his first world title, and we had the most magical feeling of starting our lives together, surrounded by everyone we loved.
For our holiday meal, I especially look forward to … My mom’s breakfast rolls on Christmas morning. There is no better smell in the world to wake up to.
My family’s most cherished holiday traditions are … The night before Christmas when Santa’s elves drop off packages with Christmas pajamas for the boys (sometimes even Luke). It’s a little bit of Christmas magic!
The first song I put on my holiday playlist is … “Christmas Without You” by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers
My greatest wish for the new year ahead is … that we can continue to put down new and lasting roots in Texas as a family and truly make this our home.
