Today I met ole Harry,
From my youthful past.
His name is Harry Carey,
And time went much to fast.
We talked about the cowboys,
And what they ment to us,
Then talked of Harry
With lots more to discuss.
The of Spin and Marty,
And how you played those songs.
For all the little wranglers,
And how they got along.
I saw you in "Red River",
And the "Searchers" to,
So Harry the cowboy,
This poem is just for you.
If Hero's are forever,
Then Harry you will do.
Lets saddle-up our horses,
I'll ride the trail with you.
