Spit 'n Whittle

C&I's Poem of the Week for 12/14/2011

Listen much and whimper little.
Teach a boy to spit 'n whittle.
Give someone a sincere smile.
Walk with them the second mile.

Offer to provide a meal.
Bow your head, and sometimes kneel.
Stop, admire and smell a flower.
Take a cat-nap for an hour.

Visit with a lonely soul;
Take a long, relaxing stroll.
Share the love you have of art.
Gently mend a broken heart.

Endure trials without complaint.
Laugh real hard without restraint.
Take your neighbor homemade pie.
Wave "Old Glory" proud and high.
