C&I's senior writer Joe Leydon joined the hosts of How The West Was 'Cast to chat about our revised “100 Best Westerns Ever Made” list.
After nearly two decades, the C&I crew decided it was past time to update our original "100 Best Westerns Ever Made" list that was published in January 2002. We got busy watching westerns and created a new-and-improved list that was published in our July 2021 issue. C&I's senior writer Joe Leydon — also a film critic and communication studies professor — was recently invited to talk about the revised list on How The West Was 'Cast podcast.
Here's what the hosts have to say about the episode: "Join us for a fascinating conversation with esteemed film critic Joe Leydon about the new "100 Greatest Western Movies" list he compiled for Cowboys & Indians magazine. During the episode, Joe reveals why certain films ranked high, while others - like "McCabe and Mrs. Miller," for example - don't appear at all. It's a lively discussion with one of the foremost authorities on the western film genre."
