From 2 million-dollar rides to back-to-back nights of country music, here’s how The American Rodeo is raising the stakes in 2026.
In 2026, The American Rodeo returns to Arlington as one of the most electrifying weekends in Western sports, where rodeo’s elite battle hungry up-and-comers, and where a single ride or run can turn into a 2 million-dollar moment. It’s a rare mix of high-stakes competition and arena-sized entertainment that brings together the grit of the arena and the energy of a country music festival under one roof.
Why The American Still Owns the Spotlight
You get to watch the biggest names in rodeo compete against rising stars for a shot at a life-changing $2 million payday, plus two nights of major country music performances that turn the whole weekend into a full-scale Western spectacle.
How the Best and the Boldest Get In
The top five ranked athletes from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Women’s Professional Rodeo Association automatically qualify.
Everyone else — from teenagers to weekend warriors — earns their shot through The American Rodeo Qualifier Tournament, with qualifying events held across the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
Five athletes in each event from each of the three regionals will advance to The American Rodeo Semi-Finals.
Where $100K Turns Into $2 Million
Each event winner earns $100,000, but the real story is the bonus.
Competitors who qualify through the Contender Tournament are eligible for a $2 million payday if they win their event. If more than one contender wins, the bonus is split evenly among them.
(Earnings do not count toward PRCA or WPRA standings.)

A Ballpark Built for Baseball Transformed for Rodeo
Once again, Globe Life Field — home of the Texas Rangers — will be transformed into a dirt-packed rodeo arena, proving the biggest stage in baseball can just as easily belong to the West.
By the Millions (and Then Some)
The American Rodeo remains the highest-paying single-day rodeo event in the world, awarding millions annually and drawing tens of thousands of fans in person, with millions more watching nationwide.

The experience goes beyond the arena.
Fans can grab Infield Party passes for dirt-level access to both the rodeo and the concerts — bringing them closer to the action than ever before. Expanded broadcast coverage ensures every ride, run, and performance is available live across Fox Sports platforms.
