The Paramount+ series already was a big hit. Now it is even bigger.
Looks like Landman has hit a gusher. Again.
Season 1 of the Taylor Sheridan-branded drama starring C&I cover star Billy Bob Thornton set records for viewership on Paramount+. But records are meant to be broken, right?
Sure enough, the Season 2 premiere episode achieved over 9.2 million streaming views in the first two days since its November 16 debut. Views increased by more than 262 percent from the first season premiere, making it the most watched premiere for any original series in the history of Paramount+.
But wait, there’s more: The streamer also saw an uptick in Season 1 sampling with a 320 percent increase in views since the second season kicked off on Sunday.
Co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Landman also stars Oscar nominees Demi Moore, Sam Elliott, and Andy Garcia, along with Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Colm Feore.
Set in the boomtowns of West Texas, the series is a modern tale of fortune seeking amongst roughnecks and wildcat billionaires — fueling an oil boom so big it’s reshaping the climate, the economy and geopolitics.
The second episode of Season 2 is set to premiere Sunday, November 23, on Paramount+. The January 2026 issue of Cowboys & Indians featuring a cover story profile of the Landman himself, Billy Bob Thornton, will go on sale Dec. 2 at fine newsstands everywhere.
