Rodeo, music, and Western heritage converge for 10 unforgettable days in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Since 1897, Cheyenne Frontier Days has been a living tribute to the spirit of the American West. It all began when cowboys, fresh off long cattle drives, returned to their ranches and challenged each other in friendly bronc riding competitions. On September 23, 1897, this tradition was formalized and the “Daddy of ‘em All®” was born. Cheyenne Frontier Days is now the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and Western celebration.
Held annually in Wyoming’s capital, Cheyenne Frontier Days has endured wars, recessions, and wild weather while remaining a steadfast celebration of grit, tradition, and community. Each year, it draws fans from all 50 states and over 20 countries to experience the authentic Western lifestyle.
From July 18 – 27, 2025, the 129th event will spotlight the Year of the Bull in honor of the bulls, bull riders, bull fighters, and stock contractors who have become Cheyenne Frontier Days legends, both in the arena and beyond.
Every afternoon, fans can witness elite PRCA athletes competing for more than $1 million in cash and prizes. Events include bull riding, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, team roping, and women’s barrel racing and breakaway roping. Other highlights include behind-the-chutes tours, trick riding, and grand parades through downtown Cheyenne. Beyond the arena, attendees can experience the Native American Village, Old Frontier Town, chuckwagon cooking, art shows, and a lively carnival midway. Free pancake breakfasts and thrilling USAF Thunderbirds flyovers round out the entertainment.
As the sun sets, Frontier Nights® transforms the arena with concerts from country music’s biggest stars. This year’s lineup kicks off with Wyoming-native Ian Munsick followed by more star power from Jordan Davis, Bailey Zimmerman, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, and Megan Moroney. For two nights, the PRCA Xtreme Bulls will buck into the legendary arena where the sport’s top bull riders will face off against some of the most powerful bulls, offering fans a display of cowboy competition and athletic skill.
The 129th Cheyenne Frontier Days takes place at Frontier Park in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Tickets for rodeo events and Frontier Nights® concerts are available now at cfdrodeo.com.
