Dennis Quaid, Tom Skerritt and Mary McDonnell also appear in the contemporary western coming to digital May 6.
Wyatt Russell, son of C&I reader favorite Kurt Russell and co-star of the upcoming Marvel action-adventure Thunderbolts*, will be riding bucking horses and battling unforgiving elements in Broke, the contemporary western drama coming to digital May 6.
Russell, who recently appeared with his father in the Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, plays True Brandywine, a bareback bronc rider clinging to his fading rodeo career.
When True gets trapped in a freak spring blizzard, he must battle injuries, illness, and the bitter cold. While fighting for his survival, he’s forced to face his life choices and the circumstances that led him to his current situation.

C&I cover star Dennis Quaid (Wyatt Earp, Reagan) plays True’s father, George Brandywine, sharing screen time with Mary McDonnell (Dances With Wolves), Tom Skerritt (M*A*S*H, Alien), Auden Thornton (Black Mirror), and Johnny Berchtold (Reacher). Carlyle Eubank (Muzzle, The Signal) wrote and directed the drama.
Here is the first trailer for Broke.
