Luxury Western brand Double D Ranch is expanding its presence with its new flagship store in Round Top, Texas.
The signature elegance of Double D Ranch melds with the eclectic spirit of Round Top, Texas, as the brand puts down new roots in the bohemian destination. Known for its endless tents filled with antiques and artisan goods, Round Top has welcomed in a new era of treasure hunting, as aligned brands set up shop as permanent residents. Double D Ranch officially opened its doors in the Round Top Halles during Fall Antiques Week, showcasing the fall apparel line as well as boots, Native American jewelry, and home decor.
Following the Fort Worth Stockyards flagship opening in 2022, the brand continues to expand its reach, giving a unique identity to each storefront. “Each time someone comes into one of our stores, I want them to have a completely different experience than in the others,” said Cheryl McMullen, Creative Director for Double D Ranch. “In the Fort Worth store, you will see more longhorns and upscale Western elegance. The Round Top store is more indicative of the heart of the town.”
The Round Top location is exceptionally eclectic with a focus on one-of-a-kind statement pieces and collectible accessories. The racks are filled with leather layering pieces and intricately-beaded and embroidered items. A large jewelry case in the center of the room is filled with carefully-curated antique silver, turquoise, and artisan jewelry pieces. Drawers overflow with vivid silk scarves while a large neon boot sign beckons you to the cowboy boot wall full of collectible styles.
“What we did for Round Top that differentiates from any other location we have, is that we have reworked vintage pieces,” McMullen explains. “In that, we do have some Double D Ranch pieces but we have reworked them with new silver concho buttons, artwork from Julie Asher, chain stitching — unique elements like that. This is specific to Round Top and will not be available online; each piece is one-of-a-kind, first-come, first-serve.”
Surrounded by a collection of unique Westernwear, it’s hard not to feel inspired by the warm, mercantile-feeling atmosphere, and even harder not to feel like part of the Double D Ranch family as you walk out the door flanked with new treasures.
