Post Malone and Luke Bryan headline the weekend of stellar entertainment and fierce competition.
The Western event that brought us iconic performances from Cody Johnson and Maren Morris in 2023 — and saw rodeo rookies go head-to-head with bona fide stars — is back for another round. Teton Ridge announced its 2024 American Western Weekend at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The rodeo kicks off March 8 – 9 and includes legendary musical performances as well as competitions across all eight rodeo disciplines.
Since its creation in 2020, Globe Life Field has become a hotspot for sports fans. Teton Ridge is hopping in on the fun with a three-year partnership with the stadium, making Arlington, Texas, the official home of the American Western Weekend.
Along with a traditional rodeo, American Western Weekend attendees will get a new take on equestrian performance sports with the American Performance Horseman. The Teton Ridge event will take place on March 8, bringing 15 of the country’s top horsemen and women from the NRCHA, NCHA, and NRHA together to compete and celebrate the beauty and power of the Quarter Horse.

The Friday event will be topped off with a performance by country legend Luke Bryan. Fresh off his high-energy Las Vegas residency, the “Country Girl” singer will transform the rodeo arena into a music hall to close out the night with some country hits.
Wrapping up the iconic weekend on March 9 will be the American Rodeo. The crown jewel of rodeo is bringing some of the biggest names in the sport as well as amateur rodeo athletes together for a unique competition. The American Rodeo is the only rodeo in the PRCA with a Contender Tournament, meaning amateur athletes compete for the opportunity to dethrone rodeo’s top professional athletes. This stiff competition turns on the heat, challenging the sport’s biggest stars and giving local rodeo athletes the chance to steal the title.
As the weekend comes to a close, rodeo goers will get a special treat. Following the American Rodeo, Globe Life Field will be treated to live performances by two Grammy Award-nominated global superstars. Iconic country singer Aaron Watson will be taking to the rodeo arena to perform hits like “Outta Style,” “Freight Train,” and more.
Last but definitely not least, attendees of the American Rodeo will get an electrifying performance from rap star Post Malone. The Dallas-native returns to his hometown with a placement on Billboard's country charts under his belt after the release of his first country single, “Pickup Man.” The duet with late country star Joe Diffie was performed at 2023’s CMA Awards with country favorites Morgan Wallen and Hardy. Audiences will get an iconic performance from Post Malone to cap off the American Western Weekend.
History will be made at this year’s American Western Weekend. Grab your tickets now to be a part of the fun.
