Reservation Dogs, Dark Winds and Lawmen: Bass Reeves are honored in TV categories.
Our readers have voted Killers of the Flower Moon, Martin Scorsese’s epic drama about the “Reign of Terror” directed at Osage People in 1920s Oklahoma, and Frybread Face and Me, Billy Luther’s charming dramedy about coming of age on a 1990 Navajo reservation, as their favorites among film nominees for the seventh annual C&I Movie and TV awards.
Among the television nominees, Reservation Dogs, the audaciously inventive comedy-drama about restless Native American teen-agers in Oklahoma; Dark Winds, the gripping AMC drama inspired by the Leaphorn and Chee novels by Tony Hillerman; and Lawmen: Bass Reeves, the limited-run series starring David Oyelowo as the legendary U.S. Marshal, were honorees.

In addition to winning the Best Picture prize, Killers scored in the Best Director (Scorsese), Best Actress (Lily Gladstone, pictured above), Best Supporting Actress (Tantoo Cardinal) and Best Screenplay (Scorsese and Eric Roth) categories. Frybread Face and Me was honored for Best Actor (Keir Tallman) and Best Supporting Actor (Martin Sensmeier).
Over in the TV categories, Reservation Dogs landed prizes for Best Series, Best Actress (Devery Jacobs) and Best Supporting Actor (Dallas Goldtooth); Dark Winds claimed Best Actor (Zahn McClarnon) and Best Supporting Actress (Jessica Matten); and Lawmen: Bass Reeves was voted Best Limited Run Series.
