Stephen Dorff and Jack Kilmer co-star in director Brian Skiba’s Western.
Yellowstone star and C&I reader favorite Cole Hauser plays a lawman caught in the crossfire between a vengeful outlaw and a newly married gunfighter in Dead Man’s Hand, a new Western set for release July 7 in theaters and on digital platforms. Directed by Brian Skiba, and based on the graphic novel No Rest for the Wicked: Dead Man’s Hand credited to Kevin, Jake and Matthew Minor, the film co-stars Brad Dorff (Old Henry, True Detective) and Jack Kilmer (son of Val Kilmer) — and features two other Yellowstone regulars, Mo Brings Plenty and Forrie J. Smith, in supporting roles.
The logline: “Gunslinger Reno (Kilmer) is headed west for a quiet life with his new bride. But when their stagecoach is ambushed, he kills an outlaw in self-defense. In a nearby town, Reno learns that the man he slayed is the brother of the corrupt mayor, Bishop (Dorff), who vows revenge. After their card game turns into a bloody shootout, who will be left standing? Cole Hauser appears as a U.S. Marshal who becomes Reno’s ally in this pulse-pounding Western.”
