The Western series starring Katherine McNamara will resume airing Thursday on The CW.
The wait is finally over: Walker: Independence, the well-crafted Western series that serves as a prequel to the popular Walker, is set to return from its midseason hiatus at 8 pm ET Thursday on The CW.
“The Death of Mary Collins” is the title of Episode 108, which also will be available for streaming on the CW app starting Friday. And if you want to refresh your memory about previous installments before you tune in on Thursday — or watch them for the very first time — you’ll find those episodes there, too.
We had the pleasure of talking with series stars Katherine McNamara (pictured above), Matt Barr and Justin Johnson Cortez last spring at the ATX Festival in Austin. More recently, Cortez visited the C&I Studio to talk about his role as Calian, the Apache tracker who is torn between two worlds as he balances loyalty to his people and responsibilities for new friends.
And just what can we expect from Episode 108? According to CW: Abby (McNamara) finds her secret identity in jeopardy when an estranged family member arrives in town and demands help from Sheriff Tom (Greg Hovanessian) to find the late Liam Collins’ missing wife. Meanwhile, a restless Hoyt (Barr) reconnects with his outlaw roots, Kai (Lawrence Kao) contemplates his future as his past begins to catch up with him, and Calian (Cortez) receives a dire warning from a mysterious woman that may drive him back to Independence.
Of course, we are hoping the saucy ex-Pinkerton turned free-lancer Kate Carver (Katie Findlay) also figures into the mix.
“The Death of Mary Collins” was written by Margaret Lebron and directed by Pamela Romanowsky. Here is a preview.
