Bots Sots Remount is saddling up for a “heap good” horse sale June 3 – 4, 2022, in Sheridan, Wyoming.
For centuries, the region surrounding present say Sheridan, Wyoming, has been at the center of the evolution between man and horse. From the primitive Native Crow drawings scratched in rocks to writings found in US Cavalry journals during the Plains Indian War, the culture of the horse endures today as ranch horses and polo ponies continue to be raised on the rich grasslands. This majestic prairie starting just North of Casper, Wyoming, to Miles City, Montana, and the Dakota border to Billings, Montana, is known as Absaraka.
This rich equine history serves as the inspiration for the Bots Sots Remount horse sale.
“Unique as its name, the Bots Sots Remount is unlike any other horse sale,” said AQHA World Champions and long time consignors Mozaun and Sarah McKibben. “Whether it be elite ranch horses, performance horses, driving teams, specialty draft crosses, or a family-friendly beginner horse, Bots Sots Remount will have the horse of your dreams. Fifty select horses will be offered where quality, class, and distinction come over quantity.”
This dedication to high quality horses has kept buyers coming back, including renowned polo horsewoman Gillian Johnston. “My family has purchased four horses out of Bots Sots. Every horse has been exactly as described and the four of them are definite gems,” says Johnston. “They are all broke the very best and gentle enough for the entire family. They are truly all priceless and the type you search all over the country trying to find.”
Along with the fantastic lineup of horses, the weekend of June 3 – 4 will include a steak fondue dinner, buyers’ social, multiple previews, and a cowboy marketplace.
Buying a horse is easy according to sale director Ike Sankey: “We specialize in walking first time buyers through the process and strive to make buying at an auction seamless. All potential buyers are encouraged to try these horses ahead of time, ask all the questions, get PPE’s, and get to know the consignors. We want people to be confident in their purchase.”
Phone and internet bidding is also available.
