The season premiere of the smash-hit Paramount Network drama is set for Father’s Day.
The wait is over: Paramount Network has scheduled the Season 3 premiere of the smash-hit series Yellowstone for June 21. Yes, that’s right: Father’s Day. The drama will air on Sundays this summer.
But wait, there’s more: Paramount Network will offer viewers a chance to binge all episodes from Season 1 starting at 1 pm May 10 — Mother’s Day.
Academy Award-winner and C&I reader favorite Kevin Costner returns in the central role of John Dutton, the proud owner of Yellowstone, a massive Montana cattle ranch described as “the size of Rhode Island.” As he struggles to maintain his family, his empire and his way of life, Dutton frequently clashes with land develops, business rivals, estranged offspring — and Thomas Rainwater, an influential and ambitious local Native American chief played by another actor highly esteemed by our readers, Gil Birmingham.
Birmingham also is back for Season 3, as are series regulars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, and Brecken Merrill. Josh Holloway of Lost and Colony joins the cast this season as Roarke Morris, a hedge fund manager with ambitious plans in Montana concerning the Dutton family. Don’t be surprised if those plans displease John Dutton.
We’ve previously talked about Yellowstone with Costner and Birmingham in C&I cover story profiles. In our July 2019 issue, we spoke with Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser and Luke Grimes about their roles in the show. And rest assured: On Father’s Day, June 21, we’ll be Live Tweeting the Season 3 premiere with the hashtag #ciYellowstone.
