An online peek into the latest installment of C&I’s annual photo contest.
Editor's Note: For more images from our 2020 photo contest, our February/March issue can be found in stores or in our online shop.
In choosing the theme of this year’s reader photo contest, we wanted to take you on a journey outside the conventions of most regimented American lifestyles. To witness Wild America is to power down the devices, forget about the streaming-TV queue, take a few days out of the office or the home, and open your eyes wider. To witness Wild America is to witness authenticity, from the daily doings of a livestock operation to the cultural celebrations in Native communities. It’s as breathtaking and majestic as the shot that makes our cover — “Teton Grandeur” by Madison Webb — or as small and intimate as a knowing glance between a cowboy and his trusty canine companion. But most of all, Wild America encapsulates the daily views of the wonderfully talented readers who submitted the winning photos ahead. Here’s to another year of lasting images. Keep on snapping out there in the wild.
