Celebrate National S’mores Day with a toast.
We probably don’t even have to say the name of the childhood campfire treat that we fete tomorrow. You know exactly what is a slowly melting bantam bar of chocolate underneath a toasted, caramelized marshmallow, both of which are sandwiched between to segments of graham crackers. Just let that warm, sugary memory soak in for a moment.
Now for the hard, sticky truth, campfires in August don’t make much sense. And you need those if you want to make s’mores the old fashioned way on August 10, National S’mores Day. Crooked Branch bar at the J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is aware of this and has concocted an adult beverage equivalent for those who’d rather relive those memories. The S’more for Me is whipped up with vanilla vodka, chocolate liqueur, schnapps, and, yes, even graham crackers.
