With the NFL in preseason matchups and the college football season ever closer, it’s time to start thinking about what’s best to drink while cheering on our team. And perhaps no other state is more geared up for the sport than Texas. In honor of the Lone Star State and its national pastime, we’ve rounded up a collection of tailgate-ready cocktail recipes using Texas spirits.
Lemonberry

1½ ounces TX Whiskey
½ ounce raspberry liqueur
1 ounce lemonade
Combine ingredients into a glass. Stir and add ice.
94 Gin & Juice
Courtesy Seersucker Southern Style Gin
2 ounces Seersucker Southern Style Gin
3 ounces orange juice
½ ounce simple syrup
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
Orange wheel, for garnish
Combine ingredients into a Collins or rocks glass. Stir. Add ice. Garnish with orange wheel.
The Perfect Paloma

1½ ounces Dulce Vida Grapefruit
2 ounces Topo Chico or preferred sparkling water
2 ounces Fresca or Sprite
2 limes for lime juice
Lime wedge, for garnish
Combine Dulce Vida Grapefruit, Topo Chico, Fresca, and lime juice into glass. Stir. Add ice. Garnish with lime wedge.
