At the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, a classic cocktail gets a Texas kick.
The 600-acre JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is a stunner, offering amenities characteristic of its prime location.
Head outdoors for a round of golf on the acclaimed 36-hole course that annually hosts the Valero Texas Open, take a guided tour of the Audubon sanctuary behind the property, enjoy a guided tour of the on-site, 5,000-square-foot organic garden brimming with an array of produce and herb, or taste honey harvested from the two bee hives on property maintained and cultivated by resort’s master gardener and talented culinary team. Chill in the 1,000-foot long lazy river or thrill down one of the resort’s water slides at the River Bluff Water Experience. Afterward, head to the luxurious Lantana Spa to rejuvenate with a treatment inspired by the Native healing traditions of the curanderos.
Produce grown in the resort’s garden goes into dishes served at the various restaurants, which include the San Antonio-inspired Rivertop Grill, the premier dining venue Cibolo Moon, and the exclusive 18 Oaks steakhouse.
The resort’s high-end, yet casual and comfortable, steakhouse specializes in wines of all varietals. With a wide selection of Texas Hill Country options, guests can sample bottles from right up the roads into the Hill Country, or pick from an extensive wine list. The team at 18 Oaks is well-versed in pairing wines with entrees from the delicious and locally sourced menu offerings. Wine and steak, can there be a better pairing?
