This year’s CMA Awards host Brad Paisley takes the Opry stage for his hit single “She’s Everything.”
The CMA Awards are coming up on November 2, so we’re dedicating the next two weeks to this year’s hosts and kicking things off with our first Brad Paisley Opry Performance of the Week.
Born in Glen Dale, West Virginia, Paisley fell in love with country music through his maternal grandfather, who gave him his first guitar, taught him to play, and encouraged him to perform in front of crowds. He was 8 and the guitar was a Sears Danelectro Silvertone. It wasn’t long before Paisley’s talents led him into full-fledged stardom.
The country music phenomenon was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2001, the same year he began dating future wife Kimberly Williams, whom he had become interested in while watching her in Father of the Bride. The couple live in Franklin, Tennessee, where they’re raising their two sons.
A sports fan and active Freemason, the country music traditionalist is also a widely respected musician whom Guitar World magazine once called “a seriously badass guitar player.” Paisley has 23 No. 1 singles to his credit; one of those, “She’s Everything,” is our featured song for our Opry Performance of the Week. Co-written with Will Nance, the double-platinum No. 1 hit track was the fourth and final single from Paisley’s 2005 album, Time Well Wasted.
Paisley’s next live performance on his Country Nation College Tour is October 21 at UCLA in Los Angeles.
