We will be providing live commentary for the February 15 kickoff of the hit AMC series.
Not so very long ago — like, before Elon Musk took over Twitter — we used to call them Live Tweets when we provided running commentary (and shared reader comments) during TV episodes and TCM movies. Trouble is, referring to them as Live Xs sounds a little … well, kinda-sorta creepy.
And so, out of respect for tradition, and to avoid sounding like we’re posting for a porn website, we’re still going to call it Live Tweeting when we take to social media Sunday, February 15, to share the excitement when Dark Winds returns for Season 4 on AMC.
Just log on to Twitter — er, X — and follow us at @CI_Magazine while we post observations with the hashtag #ciDarkWinds as we follow the drama starring C&I cover stars Zahn McClarnon (Lt. Joe Leaphorn), Jessica Matten (Sgt. Bernadette “Bern” Manuelito), and Kiowa Gordon (Sgt. Jim Chee) as members of the Navajo Tribal Police in the 1970s Southwest.
But wait, there’s more: We plan on offering an episode recap on the C&I website shortly after the Season 4 premiere concludes. Again, just like the old days.
What’s on tap this year? According to AMC: “The pulse-pounding new season focuses on the search for a missing Navajo girl, which takes Leaphorn, Chee, and Manuelito from the safety of Navajo Nation to the gritty terrain of 1970s Los Angeles in a race against the clock to save her from an obsessive killer with ties to organized crime.” The plot has been adapted from The Ghostway, a novel in the poular Leaphorn and Chee series written by the late Tony Hillerman.
Here’s a taste of what’s in store during Season 4 of Dark Winds.
