Billy Bob Thornton returns as oil company fixer Tommy Norris in the Paramount+ drama on November 16.
Paramount+ has released the first official trailer for Season 2 of the smash-hit series Landman. And to paraphrase Leonardo Di Caprio’s line in Django Unchained: Paramount, you already had our curiosity — but now you really have our attention.
Billy Bob Thornton returns in the title role as Tommy Norris, the M-Tex Oil crisis manager who was elevated the rank of company president at the end of Season 1. During Season 2, he joins his good friend Cami Miller (Demi Moore) to continue operations of M-Tex Oil following the death of Cami’s husband Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) in the Season 1 finale.
Joining Thornton and Moore as series returnees: Ali Larter as Angela Norris, Tommy’s mercurial ex-wife; Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris, Tommy and Angela’s ambitious son; Michelle Randolph as Ainsley Norris, Cooper’s strong-willed and fun-loving sister; and Paulina Chávez as Ariana, the recently widowed mom who has developed a relationship with Cooper.
Also: Andy Garcia as Galino, a drug cartel kingpin who expressed interest in transitioning into a more legitimate business in the Season 1 finale; Kayla Wallace as Rebecca Falcone, a hard-charging lawyer on the M-Tex Oil payroll; Colm Feore as Nathan, an oil company attorney and administrator who resides with Tommy and his extended family; and James Jordan as Dale, a petroleum engineer who's also a member of the Norris household

C&I reader favorite Sam Elliott is joining the Landman cast for Season 2 as T.L., Tommy’s father. Yes, we know: In real life, Elliott is only 11 years older than Thornton. But remember, this isn’t real life: This is producer Taylor Sheridan’s world, and we’re just living in it.
Set in the boomtowns of West Texas, Landman is a modern tale of fortune seeking amongst roughnecks and wildcat billionaires — fueling an oil boom so big it’s reshaping the climate, the economy and geopolitics.
According to Paramount: “In Season 2, as oil rises from the earth, so do secrets — and Tommy Norris’ breaking point may be closer than he realizes. Facing mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller, and the shadow of his kin, survival in West Texas isn’t noble — it’s brutal. And sooner or later something’s got to break.”
