The award-winning singer-songwriter will host a new radio series for Apple Music.
After you’re a headliner at The American Rodeo Championship Weekend, what can you do for an encore? If you’re ACM and CMA award-winning singer and songwriter Riley Green, you sign on to host a country-flavored series for Apple Music’s global live-streaming radio station Apple Music Country.
According to Apple, The ‘90s Country Show — set to premiere Wednesday, July 30, at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT on Apple Music Country — will take listeners back in time to one of the genre’s most influential decades.
Over the course of six nostalgia-drenched episodes, Green will revisit some of the biggest hits from artists who defined the era and continue to inspire country music today. He’ll take his audience on a journey through the years, spotlighting his favorite songs and sharing the impact they’ve made — not only on himself, but on country music as a whole.
“I grew up on ’90s country—it’s the music that shaped who I am as an artist,” Green says. “This Apple Music show is a real full-circle moment for me.
“I’m excited to take fans back to that era and maybe introduce a few new folks to the kind of country music that raised me.”
In the premiere installment of The ’90s Country Show, Green dives into his love for legendary band Alabama, breaks up with a caller’s boyfriend for her, and shares about the colorful characters in his family. Country legends Tracy Lawrence and Billy Ray Cyrus also lend their support during this hour-long tour episode.
The ‘90s Country Show with Riley Green will also be available on-demand for Apple Music subscribers on Apple Music at apple.co/_90sCountry and on Apple Podcasts.
