The half-hour tribute will air Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday on CMT.
CMT will honor the life and legacy of the multitalented Kris Kristofferson with CMT Remembers: Kris Kristofferson, a half-hour tribute set to air at 8 pm Wednesday, October 2; 11 pm Friday, October 4; and 12 pm ET Sunday, October 6.
The telecast will feature standout performances, exclusive interviews, and special moments spanning Kristofferson’s storied career. According to a CMT press release, Kristofferson, who passed away Saturday at age 88, “was an actor, singer, and one of the greatest songwriters that ever lived. An artist who both defied and defined country music. CMT pays tribute to country legend, Kris Kristofferson.”
CMT also will pay tribute to Kristofferson with a special remembrance package scheduled to air in this weekend’s all-new episode of CMT Hot 20 Countdown, at 9 am ET Saturday and Sunday.
