Pierce Brosnan, Samuel L. Jackson and Branson Lessard star in the Western now filming in Montana.
Coming soon from Murder at Yellowstone City director Richard Gray: Unholy Trinity, a new Western starring Pierce Brosnan (pictured above), Samuel L. Jackson and Branson Lessard. It’s now shooting at Montana’s Yellowstone Film Ranch after producers secured a SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement, which allows independent productions with no direct ties to members of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers to continue filming during the ongoing actors’ strike.
According to the showbiz site Deadline.com, Unholy Trinity, scripted by Lee Zachariah, is a drama of revenge, dark secrets, and buried treasures, set against the backdrop of 1870s Montana. The story begins moments before the execution of Isaac Broadway, when the condemned man asks Henry (Lessard), his estranged son, to track down and kill the scoundrel who framed him for a crime he didn’t commit. Determined to fulfill his father’s final request, Henry travels to the remote town of Trinity, where an unexpected turn of events leaves him caught between Gabriel Dove (Brosnan), Trinity’s upright new sheriff, and a mysterious figure named St. Christopher (Jackson).
“Thrilled doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel about collaborating with such exceptional talent on Unholy Trinity,” Richard Gray told Deadline. “It’s a captivating story, and we feel fortunate to be able to make an epic Western during the strike, working alongside SAG every step of the way. Paradise Valley, Montana, is a spectacular location and the ideal backdrop for this special story.”
