The Western and English Sales Association (WESA) trade show provides a sneak peek at what is to come in Western fashion. We’ve got the inside scoop on spring and summer trends coming your way!
Mainstream fashion continues to showcase Western style as one of the major trends. The warmer months are coming up and we are incredibly excited for the upcoming trends in the Western fashion industry. We have had a few opportunities to get a good look into the style future from the style giant — WESA.
The Western and English Sales Association (WESA) has two trade shows a year where lucky folks like us get to chat with some of the biggest brands in the Western fashion industry. Held at the Dallas Market Center, future collaborations, upcoming styles and trends, new and exciting lines are just some of the many topics that come up.
We wanted to share some of the spring (and summer) trends that we cannot wait to see out and about because Western style is here to stay!
Bright Colors and Patterns
The brighter the colors and the bolder the patterns, the better the outfit it seems. Mix and match all colors and patterns for endless outfits. Fuchsia is a very hot color and we don’t mean the shade of pink. Basically, have as much fun with your outfits as you want.

Textures, Stitching, and Embroidery
We saw a lot of crochet, quilted, stitched and embroidered pieces throughout WESA. Mixed with the bright colors it was far from cozy but instead gave us an excited feeling ready to take on the sunshine day.

Neutrals and Pastels
Pastels are to spring like chocolate is to peanut butter, you can enjoy each without the other but they are better together. But neutrals and pastels are a classic for not just spring but summer too. Lavender is also having its moment this spring, showcase this cool beautiful color in an accessory, like boots!

Black is a classic
Think summer outlaw as a sub-style for the warmer weather up ahead. Black is always in but this specific style is a little edgier with a western twist. A leather biker jacket and attitude will go a long way.

Fringe, everywhere!
We don’t mean just on the edge of your dress or skirt but everywhere. Look for dresses and skirts where fringe is tiered or along the back of jackets to add some sass, boots with long fringe, and fringed belts. Fringe is one of the Western style staples that is getting an added spotlight for spring and summer so don’t waste it!

Whatever style or trend you decide on from day to day just make sure confidence is the first thing you put on and the last thing you take off.
