The Oscar-winning Texas-born star will have a hunka-hunka burnin’ fun in new Netflix series.
Superstar by day, secret agent by night. That’s the fanciful (to put it mildly) premise of Agent Elvis, an adult-skewing animated adventure coming to Netflix in March.
But wait, there’s more: This alternative-universe Elvis Presley will be voiced by none other than former C&I cover guy Matthew McConaughey, the Oscar-winning Texas-born actor who reportedly will soon be joining the Taylor Sheridan Universe in a Yellowstone spinoff/continuation of some sort.
According to Netflix: “Elvis Presley trades in his jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves – all while holding down his day job as the King Of Rock And Roll.”
Alright, alright, alright! Thank you, very much! Thank you, very much!
Agent Elvis is the first adult animated project from Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and is produced in partnership with Authentic Brands Group and Titmouse. Elvis Presley’s iconic look is being brought into animation with the help of Academy Award nominee Robert Valley, and Agent Elvis’ wardrobe is the handiwork of renowned fashion designer John Varvatos.
