The Official Yellowstone Podcast was recorded at the Wynn Las Vegas state-of-the art recording studio.
Jefferson White is ready to take you behind the scenes of Yellowstone.
And he’s eminently qualified to do so, given his experience playing a major role in the hit Paramount Network series: Jimmy Hurdstrom, the Yellowstone/Dutton Ranch hand whose dreams of competing as a rodeo bronc rider have run smack dab into harsh reality.
As the host of The Official Yellowstone Podcast — which will be available starting Thursday, Dec. 9, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts — White promises to provide a heaping helping of “all things Yellowstone,” adding that “this isn't just your typical recap show.
“We are going to unpack the world of Yellowstone. Everything from rodeo, to ranching, to reservations. This is about getting the full picture of the culture and community that surround the show.”
Each segment of the podcast series — recorded in the state-of-the-art studio of the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas — will take a deep dive into the inner workings of the extended Yellowstone universe as White is joined by members of the cast and crew for informative and animated discussions. For example, “Love in the Time of Yellowstone ” features Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) and Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton); “Music of Yellowstone” showcases singer/songwriter Ryan Bingham (who plays Walker, the ex-con ranch hand, on the show) and music supervisor Andrea von Foerster; and Gil Birmingham (Chief Thomas Rainwater) and Mo Brings Plenty (Mo) are front and center for “Indigenous/Native American World.”
Also coming up on the podcast: Two special episodes focused on stars of the upcoming Yellowstone prequel 1883: “The Past and Future West” (with Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Isabel May) and “The Law of the Old West” (with Sam Elliott and LaMonica Garrett).
We recently spoke with Jefferson White about The Official Yellowstone Podcast — and, of course, about playing Jimmy, who has been given just one last chance this season to redeem himself in the eyes of Yellowstone/Dutton Ranch patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner).
