Guitar and longneck in hand, the “What’s It to You” singer from Texas follows up his “She Won’t Be Lonely Long” video with this new one.
It’s been decades since he was discovered performing in his hometown of Beaumont, Texas, at a club called the Neon Armadillo. Now award-winning Clay Walker is the proud owner of platinum and gold albums and 11 No. 1 singles.
We’re pleased to premiere Walker’s latest video, “Need a Bar Sometimes.” Directed by videographer Matthew Paskert (Jake Owen “Made for You,” Tim McGraw “Way Down”), “Need a Bar Sometimes” was shot at Froggy and Jeffro’s in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
The track was released earlier this fall. Produced by Michael Knox (Jason Aldean) and Jaron Boyer, it was co-written by Walker alongside Boyer, Josh Mirenda, and George Birge and debuted as the third most-added single on country radio.
Walker is working on a new album due in 2021 via Show Dog Nashville.
Tune in to the Lone Star Plate Podcast to hear Walker talk about his career, food, Texas pride, and life during the pandemic. He also gives an unplugged performance of “She Won't Be Lonely Long” and offers tips on how to cook the perfect steak and fish fillet.
