Take our virtual tour of this renovated outdoor patio in Central Texas.
For many, summertime is already all about the outdoors. But given the motivation even more of us have this year to upgrade our backyards and patios, we wanted to share a gorgeous transformation idea—a renovated outdoor patio—straight from the experts.
In Central Texas, spending quality time outside can sometimes be a challenge as temperatures soar and allergens flood the airways. CG&S Design-Build eliminated this problem for one local family by transforming their home’s outdoor living space.
In this case, redwood posts were added to an existing deck to support a new roof structure above it. “The original deck was difficult to keep clean and maintain due to excessive pollen and other junk that rained down from the trees,” the team from CG&S explained. “Sound familiar?”
Ultimately, the space was outfitted with a TV hidden by sliding doors, a bar area, a bio-fuel fireplace, dimmable LED lighting, a variety of warm woods including redwood and cedar, and a rainwater catchment system.
