For 30 years Rocketbuster Handmade Custom Boots has been crafting some of the wildest and most intricately designed boots out there.
“You never know what idea will turn into our new favorite thing,” says “Bosslady” Nevena Christi. “We have the pleasure of working on independent ideas and art of our own, while also creating specialized designs from our customers’ wish lists of favorite things. One day it will be a corporate logo boot and the next, something wild for a new movie .... that they need yesterday!
“Our boots can take anywhere from four to eight months to craft depending on the art and difficulty level,” Christi says. It’s a crazy creative pace — but never boring.
Because of Rocketbuster’s lead time, if you’re making your holiday shopping lists now and have your heart set on a pair of boots for someone special, Christi recommends getting a gift certificate for this Christmas. If you’re planning ahead for Christmas 2020, order well ahead of time to have your boots ready for next year.
Boots make a memorable gift — to a loved one or to yourself — at any time of year, and as a Rocketbuster fan, you’re in the good company of customers who come from around the globe and share a passion for the unique. “We meet them on the phone, website, social media, Indian Market in Santa Fe, and the 10-day NFR Cowboy Christmas marathon.”
Speaking of ... “NFR is just around the corner. Yikes!” says Christi, inviting one and all to visit Rocketbuster at Booth 647.
If you miss them in Las Vegas this December, Rocketbuster is happy to host visitors and customers in its hometown of El Paso, Texas.
“Every once in a while, we have the pleasure of welcoming folks to our shop, which is in a vintage brick warehouse building in the historic Union Plaza area of downtown El Paso,” Christi says.
“To most folks what goes into making a shoe or, even harder, a boot is a mystery. We love to share the one-step-at-a-time classic art and technique of creating handmade boots and the endless artistic possibilities.”
Visit the shop, stop by the booth at NFR, or peruse their boots online and you’ll get why Rocketbuster is especially inspired by a favorite quote from creative genius Walt Disney: “Do what you do so well that they will want to see it again and bring their friends.”
