A few of these holiday helpers and you just might hear those sleigh bells jingle-ling, ring ting tingle-ling, too.
Although it does occasionally get chilly in San Antonio, temperatures don’t drop to anything remotely resembling winter weather in the North Pole. That said, the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa wants to help you believe in a white Christmas with two seasonal cocktails. The Santa Clausmopolitan is a whirlwind ride of berries and chocolate, a refined tipple worthy of serving at Kris Kringle’s favorite Christmas Village cocktail lounge. The Mother Mimosa cocktail is a stone fruit and citric jolt that will give Father Time a good swift kick into 2019.
Recipes for both are below.
Santa Clausmopolitan
4 raspberries
2 strawberries
¾ ounce Bailey’s Irish Cream
¾ ounce creme de cacao
¾ ounce Tia Maria Liqueur
¾ ounce Chambord
Berries, for garnish
Chocolate, for garnish
Muddle four raspberries and two strawberries in a cocktail shaker. Add remaining ingredients into the shaker and shake ingredients together. Strain and pour into martini glass. Garnish with berries and chocolate.
Mother Mimosa
1 ounce Deep Eddy Peach Vodka
½ ounce peach purée
4 ounces orange juice
Prosecco
Two cherries, for garnish
Add vodka, peach puree, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a champagne glass. Top with prosecco. Garnish with cherries.
