Roots-rock group the Jake Bartley Band give a first look at their new music video for “This One’s for the Highway,” exclusively with C&I.
The Jake Bartley Band have built a reputation as one of the most sought-after bands in the Southeast.
With Jake Bartley on lead vocals, they generate a diverse and distinctive Americana sound, blending pronounced melodies with warm harmonies. It’s fresh and soulful music that comfortably reflects their South Carolina base and deservedly earns the national attention they’re getting.
Following the release of their single “Cannonball” (featuring Vince Gill), the band’s set to release another tune from their debut album, Brotherhood.
“‘This One’s for the Highway’ was a co-write with myself and [lead guitar player] Andrew Crawford,” says bass player Matt Miller. “We had a vision for our separate experiences in Nashville, what the town means to us, and how it relates to us musically. We write a good bit of music to reach our audience, but this one was intimate and important to write for ourselves.”
In conjunction with the song, they’re releasing a new music video that captures an intimate live performance of the song in the studio.
