Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats perform their latest hit, “A Little Honey,” live at the Grand Ole Opry.
Denver-based singer-songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff made R&B magic in 2013 when he put together a soulful combo with the Night Sweats: bassist Joseph Pope III, keyboardist Mark Shusterman, drummer Patrick Meese, guitarist Luke Mossman, trumpet player Wesley Watkins, and saxophonist Andy Wild.
Growing up in Missouri, Rateliff learned the drums at age 7 before teaching himself guitar. He began writing songs, drawing inspiration from folk, Americana, and blues.
In 2015, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats earned their first big break after their rowdy hit single “S.O.B.,” off their self-titled album, went to No.1. The band recently released Tearing at the Seams, which produced the No.1 single “You Worry Me.”
Just before the album dropped in March, the band took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry for the first time and delivered a crowd-pleasing performance of the rootsy new single “A Little Honey.” Watch their performance below.
