This Dulce Vida Spirits cocktail will get us through the last of the heat.
The whippersnappers are back in school, but as we stare down September, Labor Day right around the bend, and the seasons to follow, summer continues. Nowhere is that more true than in Texas, where Austin-based organic tequila concern Dulce Vida Spirits has just what we need to get through the tail end of the heat. It begins with Texans’ favorite fizzy spring water, Topo Chico, which for this writer is a serious addiction. I keep two cases stocked at home.
As easy to make as popping the cap off a Topo Chico bottle is Dulce Vida’s signature three-ingredient cocktail, Texas Ranch Water. We’ve got the recipe below, courtesy Dulce Vida.
Texas Ranch Water
1½ ounces Dulce Vida Blanco
3 ounces Topo Chico (or club soda)
Half of a lime’s juice
Ice
Lime wedge, for garnish.
Pour Dulce Vida Blanco, Topo Chico, and lime juice into an ice-filled glass. Stir to mix well. Garnish with lime and enjoy.
