Jana Kramer is dancing and singing her way to the top.
Dancing with the Stars’ 23rd season kicked off this past week with a bang. Olympic champion swimmer and alleged Rio vandal Ryan Lochte monopolized headlines again when stealth “audience members” protesting him stormed the stage immediately after his first dance.
But we’re more interested in singer-songwriter Jana Kramer, who debuted on the dance floor with a sultry waltz with partner Gleb Savchenko. Fellow country singer Carrie Underwood cheered on her friend on by sending a congratulatory flower arrangement for the premiere.
Kramer, who previously starred on the teen drama One Tree Hill, is already a crowd favorite on Dancing with the Stars and is predicted to be tough competition for the other celebrity dancers. Whether or not she claims the coveted mirror ball trophy in the end, she says the experience will prove healing as she recovers from her recently reported split with husband and former NFL player Michael Caussin.
As much as we like watching her dance, we really love watching and hearing Kramer sing. Speaking of ... Kramer recently released a music video for her latest single, “Circles,” off her 2015 album, Thirty One. Here, we’re reaching back to 2015 for Kramer’s Opry performance of “I Got the Boy,” the second single off the record and a top 10 hit for her.
You can catch Kramer on Dancing with the Stars on Monday nights on ABC. See her in concert on September 26 at the Coliseum at the Panhandle-South Plains Fair in Lubbock, Texas. For more tour dates and a chance to win a meet-and-greet, visit her website.
