Seasonal events include a grilling paradise and an inspiring weekend with the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.
The Resort at Paws Up is the epitome of glamour roughing it, or glamping. The western Montana ranch-based luxury resort offers incredible experiences of rustic elegance in an expansive private home or a sophisticated safari-style tent, with opportunities to spend an hour, a day, or a week on horseback; cast fly in sparkling waters to eager trout; explore the land Lewis and Clark swooned over; or lose yourself in a world-class spa. You’ll sleep on the finest sheets, eat world-class cuisine, and receive impassioned personalized service. And we can’t forget to mention all of this is on a sprawling 37,000-acre authentic working cattle ranch. It’s home to first-class adventure on a grand scale.
The Resort at Paws Up also offers unforgettable all-inclusive events. This spring, C&I is excited about two shindigs in particular: The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame’s Cowgirl Spring Roundup and Montana Master Grillers.
Between April 28 and May 1 at the annual Cowgirl Spring Roundup, guests can partake in a dynamic, inspiring three-day event inspired by the culture of the Wild West.
The four legendary cowgirls honored by the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth, Texas, will host the roundup. They’ll immerse you in the ways of the West with educational workshops, trail rides, photography clinics, and sporting clays shooting. This year, special guest Cathy Woods, a world-class instructor of yoga, horsemanship, and life skills, will also be a featured presenter. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience, Woods will present the Body, Mind, Equine workshop. It will include a discussion of how to use yoga to improve horsemanship, a yoga class focusing on valuable stretches for riders, saddle time in the Paws Up riding arena, and an exploration of the parallels of yoga and horsemanship.
This one-of-a-kind take on the typical wellness retreat will truly be an inspiring journey intended to increase confidence, promote self-awareness, and leave them with a new set of skills, unforgettable memories, and lifelong friends.
The Cowgirl Spring Roundup is an all-inclusive weekend package priced at $2,499 per person. The package includes luxury home accommodations, all meals, airport transfers, a cattle drive, and close-up conversation with the honorees. The event is limited to the first 50 women, ages 12 and older, who register.
While the Cowgirl Spring Roundup offers a whole-cowgirl experience, Montana Master Grillers, May 27 – 30, brings the fire to Big Sky Country via Lone Star State barbecue with this year’s theme: Texas All-Stars in 2016.
Paws Up will host Tim Byres (Smoke), Evan LeRoy (Freedman’s), Wayne Mueller (Louie Mueller Barbecue), and Kent Rathbun (Hickory), four of the best Texas barbecue chefs/pitmasters in the business for this year’s Montana Master Grillers. The list of represented restaurants for the event reads like a who’s-who of Texas barbecue. Dulce Vida Organic Tequila and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, both from the Lone Star State, will bring the spirits, Phillipsburg Brewing Company, out of Phillipsburg, Montana, will be provide the suds, and Napa Valley, California’s Cakebread Cellars will have the wine.
Attendees will enjoy up-close workshops and feast on all the grilled goods, along with imbibing fine wine, spirits, and craft beer. Of course there will still be a selection of wilderness adventures and luxurious accommodations when you’re not around the grill. It’s really a perfect combination — the offerings of the big state of Texas under the big sky of Montana. And the stars will be burning brightly all weekend long — in the heavens and around the barbecue pits.
Rates start from $969 per person per night (based on two adults).
