Jaime Ellsworth’s always delightful, easily interpreted versions of animal stories exude pure joyfulness and playfulness to the viewer. Lance Green’s more abstract brand of spirit whimsy, which he calls Dark Whimsy and Anxious Optimism speak a secret language. The works are subject to the viewers’ interpretations.  Sarah Webber’s new series of Modern Critters combine realism with whimsical juxtapositions of natural enemies like coyotes and rabbits or a playful fox leaping over the moon.
