In 1929, Charles Lindbergh and his new bride, Anne, photographed some of the Southwest’s most significant archaeological sites from the air. From 2007 to 2008, Adriel Heisey rephotographed them, flying at alarmingly low altitudes and slow speeds while leaning out the door of his light plane and holding his camera with both hands. This exhibition pairs for the first time Heisey’s images directly with the Lindberghs’.
