In Northern New Mexico, cars are movable works of art, thanks to the Nuevomexicanos who lovingly refurbish and customize their rides into elaborate symbols of personal identity. In addition to actual cars in the lobby, this exhibition features a vast selection of photographs of those rides, as well as a chromed and touchable engine, miniature model car collections, trophies, and other relics that reflect the region’s celebrated hot rod culture.
