This Salish/Kootenai artist has always operated on a cusp — culturally, aesthetically, and from a gender perspective. This first solo exhibition of her work in Montana in more than a generation examines recurring themes of conflict, peace, compassion, the cycle of life, irony, and identity. After this venue, the exhibition will travel to other western museums, beginning in the fall with a turn at Missoula Art Museum.
