First day of the World Championship Blacksmiths Horseshoeing Contest, which will continue thru the two official days of Don King Days (Sunday and Monday). Open to the public to watch these expert farriers at work.

Don King Days include a weekend of "Old West" rodeo events, featuring match bronc riding, steer roping, end-of-season polo, and live music. The Big Horn Equestrian Center provides open space and a no-fence setting in the majestic mountain foothills south of Sheridan. The family-oriented celebration, this year celebrating its 29th anniversary, honors renowned saddlemaker Don King.
