The Crown Jewel of Rodeo boasted enormous talent, but just as impressive — the Western fashion scene.
Spring is almost here, bringing warmer weather, brighter colors, and bold patterns. The American showcased talented rodeo athletes and previewed the warm-weather styles we hope to see sooner rather than later. From cheetah print to fringe to bold colors, we rounded up some of our favorite looks.

The Winners Circle
The major rodeo events at The American came to their conclusions with much fanfare during the final two hours of action on Sunday at AT&T Stadium. Each event champ was presented a custom pair of Durango boots in addition to the cash and other prizes.
BREAKAWAY ROPING: Veteran Jackie Crawford of Stephenville, Texas, brought heat that her younger competitors couldn’t.
BAREBACK: Returning champ Tilden Hooper of Carthage, Texas, bested his close buddy Kaycee Field to take home the glory and cash.
TIE-DOWN ROPING: The title went to Caleb Smidt of Bellville, Texas, after stiff competition from Tuf Cooper and others.
STEER WRESTLING: Jesse Brown of Baker City, Oregon, came out on top with an impressively quick 3.76-second time.
SADDLE BRONC RIDING: Canadian rider Dawson Hay squeaked by with a win as only he and Chase Brooks registered a score in the finals.
BARREL RACING: 49-year-old veteran Shelley Morgan of Eustace, Texas, took the top spot, and got choked up talking about her horse, Kiss, in her post-event interview. “Finding him is like finding the quarterback to win the Super Bowl.”
TEAM ROPING: Oklahoma’s Andrew Ward and Kansas’ Buddy Hawkins won with a 3.69 score as the other competing teams struggled in the final.
BULL RIDING: The biggest story of the day was the Brazilian champion Kaique Pacheco, whose victory won him the headline-making $2 million bonus.
