Old Dominion performs their song “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart” live at the Grand Ole Opry.
Named after the nickname for the state of Virginia, country band Old Dominion is composed of singer Matthew Ramsey, guitarist and keyboardist Trevor Rosen, drummer Geoff Sprung, and guitarist Brad Tursi. The group released their debut album, Meat and Candy, in 2015.
Their single “Break Up With Him” charted at No.1 on Country Airplay and was praised by critics.
“There’s a refreshing boldness to ‘Break Up With Him,’ the band’s follow-up to the satellite radio hit ‘Shut Me Up,’” Taste of Country said. “Few songs are able to showcase an artist’s personality quite like this.” Queens of Country called the track “what would have happened if Sam Hunt and RaeLynn collaborated.”
Putting the band on the map, the song was later certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Now the band is set to release their second studio album, Happy Endings, August 25. For a preview, watch this video of a live performance of their new single, “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart.”
