Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen are among the artists headlining concerts to benefit people affected by the devastating Hill Country Flooding.
In the wake of singer-songwriter Pat Green’s successful July 16 livestream concert to benefit fellow Texans affected by the recent Hill Country flooding, several other country artists with ties to the Lone Star State are stepping up to the plate with their own fund-raising events.
Tickets have already sold out for Strait To The Heart, the private July 27 benefit dinner and concert in Borne, Texas hosted by country icon George Strait. The entertainment lineup for 1,000 attendees includes Strait and the Ace in the Hole Band, William Beckman, Ray Benson, Wade Bowen, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser and others. Proceeds will go to the Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund.
“The destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood is hard to wrap your head around,” Strait said in a press release. “Our hearts and prayers are with you all. The goal with this event is to raise meaningful, immediate support that can be put directly into the hands of flood victims without delay, while also honoring the first responders [who] work tirelessly to save lives.”

Lyle Lovett and Michael Martin Murphey are teaming up for Song in the Storm: Heart of Texas Flood Benefit, set for Aug. 12 at the Paramount Theatre in Austin. They will be joined by guests Andy Hedges and Jimmie Vaughan, with proceeds going to the Central Texas Flood Recovery Fund. The event is sponsored by Kerrville Folk Festival, Murphey Western Institute, and The Cynthia and George Mitchell Foundation. Tickets can be purchased here.

Native Texans Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum will headline the benefit concert Band Together Texas at Moody Center in Austin on Aug. 17. Cody Johnson, Ryan Bingham, Wade Bowen, Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, Dylan Gossett, Jack Ingram, Lyle Lovett, Lukas Nelson, Jon Randall, and Randy Rogers Band also will be on the bill, with actors Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid making special guest appearances. Tickets can be purchased here.
"One of the things I love about both our artist community and our community in Texas,” says Lambert, “is that we show up for one another, especially in times of such great need like folks in my home state are facing after the flood. There is so much devastation and loss, yet what’s given me hope are the stories of those that have come to the aid of so many.
“That’s what we want to do with Band Together: Texans helping Texas. We hope it is a night that helps with healing while raising awareness and funds for The Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation.”

Lambert also will be taking part in Robert Earl Keen and Friends: Applause for the Cause, a stellar extravaganza scheduled for Aug. 28 at Whitewater Amphitheater outside of New Braunfels, Texas. She will be performing a special trio set with Jon Randall and Jack Ingram, on the same bill with such notables as Cody Jinks, Jamey Johnson, Tyler Childers, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Randy Rogers, Ryan Bingham, and Ray Wylie Hubbard. Tickets can be reserved here.
“This is a star-studded lineup with music starting in the mid-afternoon and lasting far into the night,” says singer-songwriter Robert Earl Keen. “We must help everyone as much as we can, for as long as we can.” Tickets can be purchased here.
