Enjoy yourself with a catchy cut from the award-winning country/bluegrass group’s new album.
The Kody Norris Show is on a roll. In 2022, the country/bluegrass group — comprised of Norris on guitar; his fiddling “sweetie,” Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris; Josiah Tyree on banjo; and Cousin Charlie Lowman on the bass — was named Entertainer of the Year by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA). Earlier this year, they took bluegrass by storm with four wins at the SPBGMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Instrumental Group of the Year, Guitar Performer of the Year (Kody Norris) and Fiddle Performer of the Year (Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris).
And now The Kody Norris Show has a new album ready for release this weekend: Rhinestone Revival, a tasty collection of traditional bluegrass tunes with a generous soupçon of honky-tonk flavor. Says Norris: “Rhinestone Revival is a virtual road trip of our musical expression and has something to offer every listener.”
We’re proud to premiere our favorite tune on Rhinestone Revival, the exuberantly catchy “Let All the Girls Know You’re a Cowboy.” It’s an irresistibly toe-tapping take on the Jim Silvers classic, celebrating the seductive allure of cowboy fashion and attitude. “When the spurs of mine start to scratching,” a sample lyric boasts, “you ought to hear the ladies sigh with happiness.”
“We couldn’t have thought of a better partner than Cowboys and Indians to premiere ‘Let All The Girls Know You’re A Cowboy,’” Norris said. “We had a blast recording Rhinestone Revival and hope you all enjoy both the song and the album. Once again, a big thank you to C&I.”
